3. Device Permissions & File Access

To function as an automated wallpaper switcher, WallpaperChanger requires explicit, user-granted access to local image storage.

• Storage Access / Scoped Storage (ACTION_OPEN_DOCUMENT_TREE): When you select a folder containing images, the app receives a secure token from Android allowing it to read files only within that specific folder.
• Local Media Processing: The application reads local image files (JPEG, PNG, WebP, BMP, GIF) solely to process display ratios, generate live previews, and set your home or lock screen backgrounds.
• Data Limits: Your selected photos are processed dynamically on your device's local memory and are never uploaded, copied, or transmitted anywhere off your hardware.

4. Background Services and Automation

WallpaperChanger uses Android's native WorkManager API to run scheduled tasks in the background at your selected time intervals (e.g., 15 minutes, 1 hour). These background processes execute locally on your operating system to update the wallpaper bitmap and perform no secondary tracking or background network operations.

WallpaperChanger does not integrate third-party SDKs, advertising networks, tracking tools, or external analytics frameworks (such as Google Analytics, Firebase, or AdMob).
